The Benefits of a Glass Conference Room

As the CEO of Pay.claims, Griffin McGahey manages a claims payment firm that helps consolidate multi-channel disbursements into a single digital workflow. Griffin McGahey also holds expertise in the communications solutions industry, and has served as vice president of HC3 since 1999.

HC3 is a communication solutions provider that emphasizes speed, security, and competitive pricing. The firm primarily serves the health care and financial industries, and conducts business out of its Birmingham, Alabama, headquarters. Recently, the building underwent an office renovation project that resulted in a modernized design with additional office space and printing areas. Moreover, the 57,000-square-foot redesign incorporated glass-walled conference rooms, referred to as “war rooms” at HC3.

Designing offices and conference rooms with glass walls offers many benefits. For example, they help enhance the illusion of space while allowing in more natural light. Natural light in turn helps reduce energy use and boosts employee productivity.

The transparency provided by glass walls can also boost employee productivity, and encourages accountability. Finally, glass offers design flexibility (such as colors and textures) that can balance privacy and transparency.
